The project involved the conversion and extension of a former bank built in the late 19th century to accommodate a luxury boutique hotel in the Cotswolds market town of Chipping Norton.
The site has significant heritage constraints and a difficult gradient, which was addressed with the careful excavation of sunken garden pavilions to accommodate new hotel rooms.
We selected a tailored project team, sourcing specialist consultants with a track record of success in the area, and curated the whole planning process, from pre-application discussions to the discharge of planning conditions.
The development was refined through a consultation with the local community and stakeholders and gained the full support of the Council without the need to be presented at the planning committee.
