Located next to Whittlesford Parkway railway station and immediately to the south of the Green Belt boundary, the site at Station Road West was used historically as a mineral extraction site and lately as a scrapyard.
Following several unsuccessful attempts to obtain planning permission, Logic Planning worked with the project architect and a trusted ecology and landscape consultant to refine the layout and massing of the development, which includes a mix of blocks of flats, terraced and semi-detached houses.
The previous concerns of the local community and of the Council were addressed with the use of creative landscaping buffers, natural construction materials and composite massing to reduce visual impacts on the openness of the surrounding countryside.
Planning permission was obtained from the Council with the full support of the local Parish Council.
